Since 2011, I have had the pleasure of running this historic house, built in 1908, with great passion. At our hotel, classic elegance meets modern comfort: antique pieces, refined colors, and contemporary design create spaces for relaxation, work, and inspiration – also ideal for longer stays.
Our themed rooms and suites are inspired by Würzburg’s most remarkable personalities such as Balthasar Neumann, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, and Mozart – as well as by the Franconian wine culture that makes our region so unique.
A glass of Franconian wine as a welcome, small snacks, personal excursion tips, or our ticket service – with us, these are not extras but expressions of genuine hospitality. We value fair pricing and appreciate it when you share your honest feedback after your stay.

Arrival & Parking
Arrival by Public Transport
Thanks to the excellent public transport connections, you are perfectly linked to the city and region. Würzburg Central Station can be reached within a few minutes on foot or by tram.
With its location at a major railway junction and direct access to the A3, A7, and A81 motorways, Würzburg is ideally connected for both business travelers and holiday guests. Frankfurt International Airport is only about 120 km away.
Arrival by Car
If you are arriving by car, we recommend three different routes depending on your direction of travel.
As our guest, you are allowed to enter the pedestrian zone despite the traffic-calmed area in the city center in order to conveniently load or unload your luggage. You are welcome to stop directly in front of the hotel entrance for this purpose.
Our reserved parking spaces are located in the nearby "Parkhaus am Haugerkirchplatz". To park your car there at the reduced rate of €15.00 per day, you will need a hotel guest parking permit, which you will receive upon arrival at the reception.
Coming from Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Ulm (A3, A7)
- Take exit B19 towards Würzburg-Heidingsfeld.
- Take the exit "Congress Centrum" on the Konrad-Adenauer Bridge.
- Stay in the right lane and continue straight on Mergentheimer Straße.
- At the end of Mergentheimer Straße, turn right towards "Congress Centrum", passing under the Ludwigsbrücke bridge.
- Continue straight along Saalgasse, then straight ahead along Dreikronenstraße to the end.
- At the intersection, turn right towards "Congress Centrum/Friedensbrücke".
- At the "Congress Centrum" intersection, continue straight and merge into Röntgenring.
- At the main train station, turn into Bahnhofstraße.
- Turn right into Haugerpfarrgasse (corner of the parking garage), then drive straight ahead into the pedestrian zone until you reach the hotel at Barbarossaplatz.
Alternative route:
- From Heidingsfeld, follow B19 towards Würzburg.
- Follow "Stadtring Süd" and take the exit "Zentrum/Frauenland/Residenz/Uni-Sanderring".
- Turn left onto Sieboldstraße, slightly left onto Friedrich-Ebert-Ring, then right onto Marianne-Rein-Straße.
- Continue on Ottostraße, then on Balthasar-Neumann-Promenade.
- Turn left into Theaterstraße.
- Theaterstraße curves to the right and becomes Textorstraße.
- At the roundabout, take the third exit into Haugerpfarrgasse (corner of the parking garage), then drive straight ahead into the pedestrian zone until you reach the hotel at Barbarossaplatz.
Coming from Hamburg, Kassel, Nuremberg (A3, A7)
- Take exit B19 towards Würzburg-Estenfeld.
- Follow the B19 towards the city center.
- At the city entrance, move into the right lane and follow the road towards Congress Centrum.
- Follow the signs for Congress Centrum at Berliner Ring.
- Keep to the left lane on Röntgenring.
- Turn left into Koellikerstraße and follow the street to the end.
- Turn left into the pedestrian zone Juliuspromenade – access for hotel guests is permitted.
- You will arrive directly at Barbarossaplatz and our hotel.
Coming from Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Heilbronn (A3, A81)
- Take exit B27 towards Würzburg-Kist.
- Follow the signs towards Höchberg, then towards Würzburg city center, Congress Centrum, and the main train station.
- Continue straight over Friedensbrücke.
- At the Congress Centrum intersection, continue straight and merge onto Röntgenring.
- At the main train station, turn into Bahnhofstraße.
- Turn right into Haugerpfarrgasse (corner of the parking garage), then drive straight ahead into the pedestrian zone until you reach the hotel at Barbarossaplatz.
Arrival by Train
From Nuremberg or Frankfurt, you can reach Würzburg in just one hour by train.
Our hotel is only a four-minute walk from the main train station (via Kaiserstraße) and is easily accessible by all tram lines heading toward the city center.
From the Hauptbahnhof West tram stop, it’s just one more stop to Juliuspromenade.
For travelers arriving by Deutsche Bahn, we recommend planning your journey using the travel form provided.

Parking
Parking spaces for your car are available in our private garage at "Haugerkirchplatz" (approx. 150 meters from the hotel).
Please note that advance reservation is required. The entrance height is 1.90 meters.
The special rate for hotel guests is €15.00 per night, payable conveniently at the hotel.
Upon arrival, please drive directly to the hotel.
Although we are located in a pedestrian zone, you are welcome to stop in front of the building to unload your luggage calmly. Our team will then be happy to guide you to the parking garage.
Travel Tip:
To avoid confusion with navigation systems, please enter "Haugerpfarrgasse" instead of "Barbarossaplatz" as your destination.
Simply drive straight ahead – after a few meters, you will see "Hotel Würzburger Hof" across the square.
On the ground floor of our building, you’ll find a "Sparkasse" bank – a helpful landmark for orientation.
Unfortunately, there are no charging stations for electric vehicles in the *Haugerkirchplatz* parking garage. However, you will find public charging points nearby, including:
– "Parkhaus Am Theater", Rüdigerstraße 3, 97070 Würzburg
– "Residenzplatz Parking", Residenzplatz 2, 97070 Würzburg
– "Wallgasse" (5 charging points)
– "Stift Haug" (2 charging points)
