Arrival by public transport
Thanks to its proximity to public transport, you are well connected: Würzburg Central Station can be reached in a few minutes on foot or by tram.
With its location at the railway junction and direct access to the A3, A7 and A81 motorways, Würzburg is easily accessible for both business and leisure travelers. Frankfurt am Main International Airport is only about 120 km away.
Arrival by car
If you are traveling to our hotel by car, we recommend three different routes, depending on your direction of arrival.
As a guest of our hotel, you are allowed to enter the pedestrian zone in the city center despite traffic restrictions to comfortably load and unload your luggage. You are welcome to park directly in front of the entrance door for this purpose. Our rented parking spaces are located in the nearby “Parkhaus am Haugerkirchplatz” parking garage. In order to park your car at the reduced price of €15.00 per day, you will need a parking permit for hotel guests before entering the garage. You can obtain this upon arrival at the reception.
Coming from Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Ulm (A 3, A 7)
- Exit B 19 towards Würzburg-Heidingsfeld
- Take the Congress Centrum exit on the Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke bridge
- Merge into the right lane. Follow Mergentheimer Straße straight ahead
- At the end of Mergentheimer Straße, merge into the right lane and head towards Congress Centrum, passing under the Ludwigsbrücke bridge.
- Continue straight ahead, following Saalgasse Continue straight ahead, following Dreikronenstraße to the end
- At the intersection, turn right towards Congress Centrum/Friedensbrücke
- At the Congress Centrum intersection, merge straight ahead into Röntgenring
- Turn into Bahnhofstraße at the main train station
- Turn right into Haugerpfarrgasse (corner of the parking garage), then drive straight ahead into the pedestrian zone to the hotel on Barbarossaplatz
Alternative route
- Towards Heidingsfeld on the B19
- Follow the Stadtring Süd (Southern City Ring) to the Zentrum/Frauenland/Residenz/Uni-Sanderring exit
- Turn left onto Sieboldstraße Slight left onto Friedrich-Ebert-Ring Right onto Marianne-Rein-Straße
- Continue on Ottostraße Continue on Balthasar-Neumann-Promenade
- Turn left into Theaterstraße
- Theaterstraße turns to the right and becomes Textorstraße
- At the roundabout, take the third exit into Haugerpfarrgasse (corner of the parking garage), then drive straight ahead into the pedestrian zone to the hotel on Barbarossaplatz
Coming from Hamburg, Kassel, Nuremberg (A 3, A 7)
- Exit B 19 towards Würzburg-Estenfeld
- Towards the city center on the B 19
- At the entrance to the city, merge into the right lane and follow the road towards Congress Centrum
- Follow the signs for Congress Centrum on Berliner Ring
- Merge into the left lane on Röntgen Ring
- Turn left into Koellikerstraße and follow this road to the end
- Turn left into the Juliusprommenade pedestrian zone; this is permitted for hotel guests arriving
- You will arrive directly at Barbarossaplatz and our hotel
Coming from Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Heilbronn (A 3, A 81)
- Exit B 27 towards Würzburg-Kist
- Towards Höchberg, then towards Würzburg city center, Congress Centrum, Hauptbahnhof (main station)
- Continue straight ahead over the Friedensbrücke bridge
- At the Congress Centrum intersection, merge straight ahead into Röntgenring
- Turn into Bahnhofstraße at the main train station
- Turn right into Haugerpfarrgasse (corner of the parking garage),
then drive straight ahead into the pedestrian zone to the hotel on Barbarossaplatz
Arrival by train
From Nuremberg or Frankfurt, you can reach Würzburg in just one hour. Our hotel is only a four-minute walk from the main train station (via Kaiserstraße) and can be reached with all tram lines towards the city center. From the “Hauptbahnhof West” stop, it is only one stop further to the “Juliuspromenade” stop. For travelers with Deutsche Bahn, we recommend planning your journey with the arrival form. Parking
Parking spaces for your car are available in our garage at Haugerkirchplatz (approx. 150 meters from the hotel).
Please note that advance reservation is required. The entrance height is 1.90 meters.
The special rate for hotel guests is €15.00 per night. Payment is conveniently made directly at the hotel.
Please drive directly to the hotel upon arrival.
Although we are located in the pedestrian zone, you can easily stop in front of the hotel and unload at your leisure. Our team will then be happy to explain the way to the parking garage.
Tip for your arrival:
If you want to save yourself the hassle of fighting with the GPS, enter “Haugerpfarrgasse” instead of “Barbarossaplatz” as your destination.
Simply drive straight ahead along the street – after a few meters you will see the Würzburger Hof across the square.
By the way, there is a Sparkasse bank on the ground floor of our building – a good orientation aid.
Unfortunately, there is no charging facility for electric cars in the Haugerkirchplatz parking garage. However, you will find public charging stations nearby, including:
– Parkhaus “Am Theater”, Rüdigerstraße 3, 97070 Würzburg
– Parkplatz Residenz, Residenzplatz 2, 97070 Würzburg
– Wallgasse (5 charging points)
– Stift Haug (2 charging points)
